Photo Quilting Is A Great Gift

Author: Dorothy Kimble
Have you seen those photo quilts at the mall? They are amazing and such a cute gift idea. To make one, you provide a photo that is clear and hopefully has some sort of meaning to the recipient. This photo is then imprinted onto the quilt cloth using various options. The result is the photo of your choice right on a quilt. Very cute!

These photo quilts are just the perfect gift for so many occasions. They make a great wedding gift with photos of the happy couple on the quilt. They are also great for moms or grandmas with photos of the kids on the quilt. It would also make a great heirloom quilt for a baby, and what about dog lovers? Who wouldn't love a quilt with photos of their favorite furry friend? The possibilities are endless.

You'll need to search for the best picture you can find that symbolizes the occasion or person/pet depicted in the photo. The picture needs to be of high quality and can be print or digital. The photo quilt company will then fuse the photo right onto the quilt, so it looks like it is sewn in. In some cases, you can get custom embroidered or cross stitched quilts based on a photograph but these take many manhours to do by hand and are quite pricey.

If you want to order a photo quilt as a gift be sure to factor in enough time to have the quilt made and delivered. You can check in your local mall for a store which offers this unique service but if you can't find one locally, then hop online. You can submit your photo in digital form and place your order online and have the quilt delivered to you or the recipient. Photo quilts really are beautiful and thoughtful gifts that your friends and family with cherish for years.
